RAMESHCHANDRA HIMMATLAL JEWELLERS

Privacy Policy

How we handle information when you browse our catalogue and contact our store.

1. About this policy

This website is operated by Soni Rameshchandra Himmatlal & Bros, trading as Rameshchandra Himmatlal Jewellers, Dongri, Mumbai (“we”, “us” or “our”).

This policy covers browsing this website, enquiries made through its contact options, and requests for WhatsApp gold rate updates. The website presents jewellery designs and reference information. It does not offer online checkout or collect card or bank details for website purchases. The 12+1 Jewellery Scheme is managed at the store; its website page does not collect payments or enrol customers online.

2. Information we handle

  • Information you choose to share: your name, enquiry, design references, preferences, and any photographs or other details you send us.
  • Contact information: the phone number and profile information made available when you contact us through WhatsApp or call the store, subject to the service and your privacy settings.
  • Gold rate signup requests: your name, WhatsApp number, optional email address, consent wording and time, signup location on the website, and the staff processing status of your request.
  • Technical information: website requests, IP addresses, browser or device details, pages accessed and access times may be processed by our hosting and website-service providers for delivery, maintenance, traffic reporting and security.

Please share only what is needed for your enquiry. Avoid sending passwords, payment-card details or identity documents through the website enquiry form.

3. Enquiries, rate signups and calculator

Contact form and design enquiries

The Contact Us form prepares a message using the details you enter. Choosing “Continue on WhatsApp” passes that prepared message to WhatsApp so that you can review it. We receive the enquiry when you send it to us within WhatsApp.

The custom enquiry form does not submit its contents to a WordPress contact-form database or email inbox. WhatsApp handles the information passed to its service under its own terms and privacy policy. Design-enquiry buttons similarly prepare a message containing the selected design reference.

Daily gold rate updates

The rates signup form is separate from the contact enquiry form. When you choose Subscribe and confirm that you want WhatsApp rate updates, the website saves your details and consent record in a restricted WordPress list. Opening the form alone does not submit a request. Our team reviews requests and manually adds customers to the store’s existing WhatsApp rate update service. The website does not send your signup details by email or WhatsApp.

Your name and WhatsApp number are required; email is optional. We use the details to process your request, maintain the update list and address subscription-related questions. You can contact the store to stop updates or request correction or deletion. Removing a website record and removing a number from the WhatsApp update service are separate staff actions.

Jewellery rate calculator

Values entered into the jewellery calculator are processed in your browser by the calculator. That feature does not submit your entered weights, reference rates or estimates to us.

4. How information is used

We use information relevant to your enquiry to respond to questions, discuss designs and availability, assist with store visits, follow up on a conversation you have started, and address requests or concerns. When you request daily gold rate updates, we also use your signup details to maintain that service. Technical information supports website operation, troubleshooting, security and traffic reporting.

Information may also be used or disclosed where needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or protect against misuse. If you separately choose to subscribe to promotional communications, you can ask us to stop them using the available unsubscribe option or our store contact details.

5. Service providers and external content

  • Hostinger: provides website hosting and related tools, including the Hostinger Reach on-site integration. Loading provider resources involves technical connection information. If you submit a separate Reach subscription form, the details entered may be processed by Reach for that subscription.
  • Google: the homepage uses an embedded Google Map and fonts supplied through Google Fonts. These resources connect your browser with Google when loaded. Directions links also open Google Maps.
  • WhatsApp / Meta and the store’s WhatsApp automation provider: handle information used to prepare or send enquiries and deliver the daily rate updates you request. Our team manually transfers signup details needed for the existing update service and handles messages received by the store.
  • Instagram: links take you to our Instagram profile, where Instagram handles your interactions under its own policies.

External services may receive technical details, use cookies or process information outside India according to their service arrangements and applicable policies. Our handling of information received by the store remains covered by this policy.

6. Cookies and browser choices

WordPress, hosting services and external content may use cookies or similar technologies for features such as authorised staff login, security, performance and preferences. Third-party content can receive connection information when it loads, even if you do not submit an enquiry.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies or external content may affect some features. You can also choose not to open external links or submit a WhatsApp enquiry.

7. Retention and security

We retain enquiries, rate signup details, consent and subscription records for as long as reasonably needed to provide the requested service, handle questions or opt-out requests, address disputes or meet applicable legal requirements. Retention depends on the purpose and type of record. Authorised website administrators can manage or delete rate signup records. The signup form uses a short-lived security counter derived from the connection address to limit repeated submissions; the signup list does not store your IP address. Provider logs and backups may follow the relevant provider’s retention arrangements.

We take reasonable steps to protect information against unauthorised access or misuse. No website, communication service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us if you believe information shared with the store has been mishandled.

8. Your choices and requests

You can browse the public catalogue without entering your name or sending a message. You can contact us to ask about information we hold, request correction or deletion, ask us to stop optional communications, or raise a privacy concern.

We will consider requests in accordance with applicable law and any legal requirements to retain records. We may need limited information to verify that a request relates to you. Requests about information held independently by a third-party service should also be directed to that service.

9. Children’s information

We do not seek personal information from children through the website. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has shared personal information with us, please contact the store so that we can review and address the matter.

10. Policy updates

We may update this policy when website features, service providers, business practices or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the most recent policy update.
